Since we didn’t want to dive (I’m scared of the deep ocean), we opted for a private charter for a snorkel tour. It was great!! Super easy to book and easy to pay with a credit card. It was only 300 USD for the two of us and we had an entire boat to ourselves. This was a great option since it was less rocky than a tinier boat and for someone who easily gets motion sickness, I was completely fine. Mark is a very professional and thoughtful instructor and guide. He walked us through the process of proper mask and snorkel usage and how to correctly get into the water to put on our fins. And again to reiterate how I have a fear of oceans/deep open water, I felt totally safe and confident with Mark. He told us how he’s been diving since 1979, so his experience and expertise gave me extra comfort that we went with Nha Trang’s premiere ocean adventuring pro. We also went to the Son Island aquarium and Mark was full of knowledge about the local fish and taught us lots of cool fish facts. Definitely recommend!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 나트랑에서 스노클링 또는 다이빙을 하고자 하시는 분들께 Mark Scott님을 추천합니다. 기존에 여행사 패키지 상품과는 다르게 Mark 교관님께 WhatsApp 또는 전화로 직접 연락해서 장비를 피팅해보고 출항이 가능한 일자에 항구에 모여 출발하는 시스템입니다. 패키지 상품과 차별화된 강점은 2~3일전에 연락해도 날씨와 Mark교관님의 일정만 가능하다면 바로 일정 확정이 가능하다는 점이며 Mark교관님과 계약한 소수의 직원만 지도해 주시기 때문에 고퀄리티의 스노클링/다이빙을 즐길 수 있습니다. 나트랑에서 운영중인 3~4개의 패키지 인원들과 같은 항구에서 2개의 배를 나누어 타기때문에 같은 포인트에서 스노클링/다이빙을 하게됩니다. (Mark 교관님은 타 크루 교관들과도 친해서 배 안에서 다른 분들과 어색할일은 없습니다. 또한 배안에서도 패키지상품 인원들과 똑같은 대우를 받습니다.) 따라서 장단점을 비교해보고 선택하시면 됩니다. Mark 교관님의 집에 방문해서 장비 피팅 및 일정 설명을 듣고 장비를 챙겨서 숙소로 가시면 됩니다. 직접 방문을 할 여건이 안되더라도 나트랑 숙소에서 Mark가 직접 방문해서 장비 사이즈 확인도 가능합니다. 시간이 안되시면 WhatsApp으로 키와 발사이즈 보내주시면 Mark가 당일에 챙겨서 온다고도 합니다. 또한 숙소측과 협의가 되면 기본적인 스노클링 방법도 방문해서 가르쳐 주십니다.(제가 묶었던 숙소는 외부인 입장료가 있고 Mark는 pool에 입장불가라고해서 따로 교육받진 않았습니다.) 아침 07시30분에 만나서 8시경에 출항해서 두개의 포인트에서 스노클링을 합니다. 점심식사 및 과일 및 물은 배 안에서 제공됩니다. 저와 제 동생은 Mark의 지도하에 재밌는 스노클링을 하였습니다. 스노클링이 처음이라 첫 포인트에서는 물에 적응하느라 힘들었지만 두번째 포인트에서는 재미를 붙였습니다! Mark가 바로 옆에서 지도해주니 초보자도 마음껏 안전하게 즐길 수 있습니다. 비록 영어실력이 부족하여 대화를 많이는 못하여서 아쉽지만 Mark교관님은 정말 좋은 Instructor이자 친구입니다!! First the diving certification course which I did with my wife. And second, the snorkeling trip with my mother. Both of these trips have been an absolute blast! If you are looking for a diving instructor who is genuinely in love with his job, and who makes sure that you will be self sufficiently safe in any situation, then look no further! Mark Scott is the man! Other diving instructors have mentioned that he is definitely a legend. And seeing how the others do their courses, it is easy to see why they say this. We learned how to fully set up and test our gear. We definitely felt like we were better prepared than the rest of the divers.
